1. Requirements Communication and Parameter Confirmation


This is the fundamental step in customization. Core parameters and application details must be clearly defined to avoid deviations in the design later:


Basic Filtration Requirements:

Filter Media: Specify whether the filter medium is a liquid (e.g., crude oil, electrolyte), a gas (e.g., hot flue gas, sterile air), or a mixed solid particle fluid, as well as the medium's corrosiveness (acidicity/alkalinity), viscosity, solids content, and other characteristics.

Filtration Refinement: Targeted particle retention size (e.g., 1μm, 10μm) or required filtration efficiency (e.g., 99.9% retention rate).

Operating Conditions: Operating Temperature (e.g., ambient temperature, 300°C), Operating Pressure (e.g., 0.1MPa, 10MPa), and required flow rate (e.g., 10 tons of fluid per hour).


Structural and Installation Requirements:

External Dimensions: Must fit within existing equipment space (e.g., pipe diameter, mounting interface dimensions).

Interface Type: Flange, threaded, quick-release, and other connection methods.

Special Features: Requirement of backwash mechanism, heating/cooling interlayer, integrated pressure sensing interface, etc. Industry Standards and Certifications: For example, the pharmaceutical industry must comply with GMP standards, the food industry requires FDA certification, and the military industry must meet specific vibration and shock resistance requirements.


2. Design and Material Selection


Based on the confirmed requirements, the technical team will conduct a targeted design. The core aspects include:

Material Selection: The metal material is determined based on the corrosiveness of the medium, temperature, and other conditions. Common options include:

General operating conditions: 304 stainless steel (resistant to neutral media, moderate cost);

Severely corrosive operating conditions: 316L stainless steel (acid and alkali resistant), Hastelloy (resistant to high concentrations of chemicals);

High-temperature operating conditions: Nickel-based alloys (such as Inconel, resistant to temperatures exceeding 800°C);

High-precision requirements: Titanium alloy (excellent surface finish, suitable for the pharmaceutical industry). Filtration Structure Design:

Filter Element Types: Sintered Metal Powder (High Precision, Uniform Pores), Woven Metal Mesh (High Strength, Easy to Clean), Metal Fiber Felt (High Dirt Capacity), Metal Honeycomb (High Flux), etc.

Housing Structures: Single-Cylinder (Low Flow), Multi-Cylinder (Low Flow), Vertical/Horizontal Layouts. Design of sealing structures (e.g., O-ring material compatibility with the media), drain outlets, etc. will also be performed.

Performance Simulation and Calculation: Fluid dynamics software will be used to simulate filtration resistance and flow distribution to ensure that requirements such as pressure loss and service life are met.


3. Proposal Confirmation and Quotation


Technical Proposal Output: Detailed design drawings (including materials, dimensions, and structural details), performance parameter tables (e.g., filtration accuracy, maximum flow rate, temperature/pressure tolerance), and service life estimates will be provided for user approval.

Quotation and Lead Time: A quotation will be provided based on material cost, processing complexity, and customization scale. The production lead time (typically 2-4 weeks for small-batch customizations, 6-8 weeks for complex structures or special materials), payment methods, and delivery methods (e.g., logistics, on-site delivery) will also be specified. Adjustments and Final Confirmation: User feedback (such as optimizing dimensions or changing materials) is provided, and the final design is finalized through negotiation, followed by the signing of a custom contract.

4. Sample Production and Testing and Verification


For custom requirements requiring high precision or complex working conditions, samples are typically produced for verification:

Small-batch sample production: 1-3 samples are produced according to the design plan, with a focus on controlling key processes (such as sintering temperature, weave density, and weld quality).

Performance Testing: Core indicators are verified through laboratory testing, such as:

Filtration accuracy test: A particle counter is used to measure particle concentration before and after filtration;

Pressure test: The filter is held at 1.5 times the operating pressure for 30 minutes to check for leaks;

Heat test: The filter is operated at a specified high temperature for a long period of time to observe material stability;

Corrosion test: The filter is immersed in the target medium to detect weight loss or surface corrosion.

User Trial and Feedback: Samples are delivered to users for trial use under actual working conditions, and operational data (such as pressure differential changes and filtration effectiveness) is collected. Final adjustments are made based on feedback. 5. Mass Production and Quality Control

Standardized Production: Mass production is conducted according to a confirmed plan, with quality control points established at key stages (such as material inspection, porosity testing, and assembly and sealing) to ensure consistency.

Factory Inspection: Each product undergoes factory inspection and is accompanied by an inspection report (including material certification and performance test data) to ensure compliance with custom requirements.
